| Course Description | The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult cardiac arrest. The course uses case-based teaching. Providers are expected to learn and manage: a respiratory emergency, 4 types of cardiac arrest (simple VF/V, complex VF/V, PEA, and asystole), 4 types of pre-arrest emergencies (bradycardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia, and acute coronary syndromes), and stroke.
The ACLS Course consists of lectures, video show and multiple practical scenarios to help the participants acquire the techniques of ACLS. Simulators will be used in different scenarios to make the whole training more interesting and challenging. |
